Accelerator

DNS 130

Description

DarNset 130 is a multi component, chloride free, accelerating water reducer for concrete. DNS 130 can be used year round to promote higher early and ultimate strengths, even at temperatures below freezing. DNS 130 is especially effective to use in precast concrete, pre-stressed concrete, concrete bridge deck and roadwork repairs, and where chloride constraints and steel reinforced concrete or metal decking is used.

Description

DarNset 166 is a multi component, chloride free, accelerating water reducer for concrete. DNC 100HE

Description

DarNcel 100 High Early is an accelerator anti-freeze, which when mixed with cement, gives off exothermic heat; lowering the freezing point of concrete. DNC 100HE is a chloride based solution of calcium and a concentration of nitrates with a powerful wetting agent for increased water reduction and accelerated set times.

Air Detrainment

DDF

Description

DarCole De-Foamer is an aqueous solution designed to help control the air content in plastic concrete.  DDF can descrease the air entrainment/entrapment caused by some cements, super plasticizers, or other admixtures.  DDF can be used in cement slurries, grouts, concrete, and mortars.

Advantage

  • Can increase unit weight of concrete
  • Counteracts entrained/entrapped air caused by other water reducers and super plasticizers

  • Overdosing can make it difficult to introduce air back into the mix

DSA 110

Description

DarCole Synthetic Air 110 is a synthetic surfactant derived from fatty acids used as an air entraining     concrete admixture .  DSA 110 introduces millions of uniformly sized ultra stable air bubbles.  These air bubbles act as ball bearings in the mix, greatly improving the plasticity and workability of concrete.

DarCole Vinsol Resin 150 is specially formulated for use as an air entraining concrete admixture .  DVR 150 introduces millions of uniformly sized ultra stable air bubbles.  These air bubbles act as ball bearings in the mix, greatly improving the plasticity and workability of concrete.

Controlled Low Strength Material

DNF 842

Description

DarNfill 842 is a water reducing admixture designed for use in flowable fill mixes known as controlled low strength material (CLSM) making highly flowable, and easily excavatable concrete.  DNF 842 stabilizes air content, and eliminates bleedwater & shrinkage; while maintaining suspension of cement throughout the highly flowable mix.  DNF 842 also enhances the plastic and hardened properties of CLSM.

High Range Water Reducer

DSF 1443

DarCole Superflow 1443 is a fast setting high range water reducing admixture for concrete utilizing superior polycarboxylate technology.  DSF 1443 is designed to aid in the placing and finishing of highly flowable concrete.  DSF 1443 can also be utilized as a multi range water reducer based on dosage rate.

DHR 821

DarCole Hydro Reducer 821 is a multi-range water reducing admixture for concrete utilizing superior polycarboxylate technology. DHR 821 is designed to aid in the placing and finishing of plastic concrete while controlling the hydration process of Portland Cement. Controlling the hydration of the cement maintains plasticity, slump, and temperature which allows more work time for placing and finishing.

DNL 785

Description

DarNlok 785 is a water reducing concrete admixture originally developed specifically for on-site continuous type mixers. DNL 785 has various uses for all types of mixers because of its rapid integrating characteristics and the ability to be used directly in the water supply system or in on board admix tank systems.  DNL 785 decreases water-cement ratios while increasing the quality of the cement; improving slump loss, splashing, shrinkage, segregation, and stabilizing volume.

Description

DarNlok 485 is a mid range water reducing, normal set admixture for concrete.  DNL 485 has various uses for all types of mixers because of its rapid integrating characteristics and the ability to be used in pre-cast, ready mix, or in on board admix tank    systems.  DNL 485 decreases water-cement ratios while increasing the quality of the cement; improving slump loss, splashing, shrinkage, segregation, and stabilizing volume.

DWR 385

Description

DarCole Water Reducer 385 is a mid range water reducing, normal set admixture for concrete.  DWR 385 increases the cohesive properties of Portland     cement, which enables the cement particles to   hydrate more thoroughly in hardened concrete.  This chemical reaction utilizing DWR 385 decreases water-cement ratios while increasing the quality of the cement; improving strength, finishing, durability, and appearance.

Retarder

DHS

Description

DarCole Hydration Stabilizer is a liquid admixture solution designed to control the hydration process of Portland cement. DHS coats the hydrating cement particles resulting in the suspension of the hydration chemical reaction. By suspending the hydration, DHS maintains the plasticity, slump, temperature, and delays the set time of concrete. Normal hydration continues once the DarCole Hydration Stabilizer is chemically consumed.

DarCole Water Reducer 385 Retarder is a mid range water reducing, set retarding admixture for concrete.  DWR 385R increases the cohesive properties of Portland cement, which enables the cement particles to hydrate more thoroughly in hardened concrete.  This chemical reaction utilizing DWR 385R decreases water-cement ratios while increasing the quality of the cement; improving strength, finishing, durability, and appearance.

DSC 412

Description

DarCole Shotcrete 412 is a mid range water reducing, accelerating admixture for concrete. DSC 412 has various uses for all types of mixers because of its rapid integrating characteristics and the ability to be used ready mix or in on board    admix tank systems.  DSC 412 decreases water-cement ratios while increasing the quality of the cement, and aids in bonding the mix to steel/reinforcements.  DSC 412 allows for faster erection of the walls, improved cut time, and performs efficiently in common walls, corners, and inverted areas.

Specialty Admixtures

DCI

Description

DarCole Corrosion Inhibiter is a calcium nitrite liquid corrosion inhibiting, non chloride accelerating admixture for concrete containing steel reinforcement.  DCI chemically retards the onset of corrosion actions of chlorides on reinforcing steel materials and will increase a structures service years.  DCI has a minimum nitrite content of 30%.

  • Offsets corrosive effects of concrete ingredients that have exceeded normal chloride limits

DIW

Description

DarCole Integral Water-Proofer is a polymeric liquid water repelling admixture for concrete that exhibits superior performance compared to other conventional water repellants.  DIW provides long lasting resistance to water penetration by reacting to form an effective water resistant network throughout the concrete mix.

DND 814

Description

DarNdry-cast 814 is a mid range water reducing   admixture that improves the quality of dry cast  concrete.  DND 814 performs especially well in hollow core precast or prestressed concrete by  reducing water-cement ratio, eliminating sag, stopping strand slippage, and improved set times.  DND 814 can be successfully used in wet cast and shotcrete as well.

DSE 731

Description

DarCole Strength Enhancer 731 is a multi component, chloride free, strength enhancing admixture for concrete.  DSE 731 promotes higher early and ultimate strengths at all ages, especially where much higher strengths are needed within a 24 hour period.  DSE 731 can be used year round, even in warmer climates, where accelerated set times are less desirable.

DPI ASR

Description

DarCole Alkali Silica Reactivity (ASR) Prevent is a lithium nitrate liquid concrete admixture that chemically mitigates ASR expansion.  DPI ASR will     extend the service life of hardened concrete.  Alkali Silica Reactivity is a chemical reaction that can  occur in concrete between the alkali in cement and the silica in aggregates.  This reaction creates a gel that absorbs water into the pore solution, which expands causing concrete to crack.

  • Improved durability & extended service life
  • Provides ASR protection to the concrete from alkalis
  • No adverse effects on plastic or hardened concrete
  • Contains a minimum of 30% lithium nitrate by mass
DPI SRA

Description

DarCole Shrinkage Reducing Admixture is a liquid concrete admixture that can be used in any type Portland cement to greatly reduce drying shrinkage.  DPI SRA performs by blocking capillaries of pore water, which is the leading cause of  drying shrinkage.

  • Can eliminate cracking due to drying shrinkage
  • Reduces potential of cracking while improving aesthetics
  • Can be used in air entrained concrete
  • Increases water tightness of the mix

  • Reduced creep & curling of slabs
  • Can reduce 28 day shrinkage by up to 80%
  • Compressive strength may be reduced by up to 10% but may be offset by use of water reducing admixtures
DAW 661

Description

DarCole Anti-Washout 661 is a liquid, water soluble polymer that can prevent the washout of finer particles in plastic concrete by substantially increasing the cohesiveness and viscosity of the concrete mix in underwater concrete placement.

  • Eliminates the washout and mass loss of fine particles in plastic concrete
  • Drastically increases cohesiveness of concrete mix consistency
  • Helps eliminate concrete bleed water
  • Maintains normal setting characteristics through most of the dosage ranges

  • Can be added on site or at the batch plant after all other ingredients have been introduced into the mix
  • The costs associated with dewatering can be reduced or eliminated

DIS

Description

DarCole Integral Shield is a multi-component, liquid water repelling admixture for concrete that exhibits superior water shielding performance compared to other conventional water repellents. DIS provides long lasting resistance to water penetration by re acting to form an effective water resistant network throughout the concrete mix.
